Moon study

       On this page, we will show our summer study program mapping the Moon's Mare's (SEAS). the photograph below will show you the moon's craters inside the mare.

 

 

Mare Cristum

        This sea is Mare Cristum, Description, formation with crater shaped Lengthened West East. A very flat floor with ring of wrinkle ridge to the periphery and ghost craters to the south. the sea is 3.85 billion years old. It features SWIFT crater, which has steep sides and is perfectly round. PICARD is a circular crater with a Little steep walls with a terrace.  It also has a little flat, and wide floor. it is 1.1 billion years old. YERKES almost a ghost, circular formation, a little steep slope, supporting to the north, little high walls.  A flat floor with Lava communication with Mare Cristum to the east.  LICK also a ghost, circular formation, little steep slopes, supporting creaves crater to the north, little high walls also to the north. DORSA TETYEV a little mark wrinkle to the northeast. CREAVES a circular formation bowl like North of lick crater, little steep slopes with high walls and a rounded floor.
